Background
Nearly 2 years ago, our team at Innovancer started working on the digital enrichment of Lovemix.com. We take great pride in sharing that we successfully converted an HTML and PHP-coded website into a user-friendly platform with a lightening navigation speed and advanced features such as video-calling and online payments. The results exceeded client expectations as user retention rates and conversion rates soared after the successful launch of the new website and mobile app version.
Problem
Our client Lovemix.com had an HTML and PHP-coded website with a websocket based chat integration. The design of the website was not attractive enough to engage the audience and demanded a complete turnaround to offer advanced features such as a real-time chat box with a video calling facility. The client wanted the website to offer a chat option to members so that they could interact with each other via text messages, video calls, block unwanted people, add friends, and so on.
Our Approach to Solve the Problem
At Innovancer, we decided to rewrite the entire Lovemix.com platform using Vue. This meant an immediate upgrade to at least 10X faster navigation speed. After attaining this crucial milestone, the client wanted us to focus on A/B testing of the various features including smaller ones (such as moving buttons and changing texts) to the larger, complex ones (such as pricing, email formats, CTA’s).

Customer surveys are the best resource for valuable insights and suggestions to grow your business. Customer feedback guides and informs your decision-making and influences changes to products and services.

To ensure that customer's voice was heard, and their needs and expectations were met while they use Lovemix.com, our team decided to run a small feedback survey in the form of a suggestion box placed at the bottom. This initiative contributed a great deal to website redesign as consumer insights provided the right hints for bottlenecks in the website navigation.

Browser push notifications can increase user engagement by up to 75%.

Since emails were the sole medium to notify users of the ongoing events, we decided to add browser push notifications. Browser push notifications helped Lovemix.com in sending alert-style messages to target subscribers resulting in higher click-through rates. They allowed Lovemix.com to instantly connect with their customers without needing their contact details. The results were astounding with nearly 50 times higher conversion rates.

Another feature requested by Lovemix.com was the ability to video call. Our team decided to refactor the old chat component and then implemented a peer-to-peer video calling feature.

Our team found that majority of the Lovemix.com users were mobile-based. Hence, we decided to add PWA capabilities as a substitute for mobile apps and initiated app development at the same time. Our team created a mobile app with several capabilities such as Apple Pay and Google Play integration to facilitate payments. Today, majority of the mobile users prefer the app instead of the browser.

Our team is continuously running A/B tests to decide the upcoming features for Lovemix.com. We rely on our own metrics and not on any third-party tools such as Google Analytics. All the analysis is in-house and hence there is no scope of any data breach.

Unlike other apps that depend on displaying advertising for generating revenues, Lovemix does not use any form of advertising. Our revenues are generated via memberships and hence our entire focus is on creating a superior user experience.
The results
Lovemix.com derived the following advantages after their successful collaboration with Innovancer:
